This was the first annual fundraiser for the "Healing the Children" international charitiy held at the downtown Seattle Hilton - a dinner event with a variety of professional entertainment. Orion Ballroom's semi annual Showcase event features a variety of song, music & dance presented by students, professional staff and guests. This excellent R I B Showcase - "Rhythm in Blue" - included 3 numbers by TangoFusion: an African dance/Milonga with live drumming, a freestyle group Argentine Tango, and a solo # danced by Patty & Kevin. Tango Cruise with Sandor & Parissa |
| Patty and Sonny have cosponsored tango workshops by SANDOR in Kirkland & Seattle. SANDOR & PARISSA (see photos) also taught and performed on a special Tango Cruise to Alaska. Sandor first endeared himself to the Seattle Tango community in 1990 when he opened "Forever Tango"s stage show & taught workshops during the tour. As part of a noontime artist series, an Argentine Tango performance (click to view event
photos) was presented outdoors at the WELLS FARGO building in downtown Seattle. A very
special thanks goes to David Hodgeson for organizing this event as well as performing
with Barbara Gannis. Other tango couples were Patty Leverett & Sonny Newman,
Ilana Rubin & Tony Fan & Michelle Badion & Evan Wallace. Bravo everyone!
